We laid Erika to rest today. It was much more difficult emotionally than I thought it would be. I thought I got all of that stuff out of my system but when we spread her ashes all the pain of loss came rolling back over me and I wept for my friend again.
You are in a better place, and you'll always have a space in my heart.
On the other hand I've now been up for 29 hours and I have to leave for work in half an hour. Here's to hoping I can make it to six in the morning.
