woke up this morning to miserable cold windy rain...which really threw a loogie into my plan to ride out to canmore and back today...the rain was supposed to hold off until thursday and friday, which would have given me a good recovery from the 210km ride. oh well.
instead, i will sit on my couch and eat potatoe chips dipped in cream cheese, which is my secret food vice.
tried flipping on the teevee, but truly nothing on. the best i could find was something called 'the view'. I believe it is supposed to be some sort of talkshow, but today it consisted of three fatuous women treating Bill O Reilly like a human being.
Now since i personally feel that the world, nay the universe, would be a better place if Bill's mother had smothered him at birth,watching these women treat him as though he had a right to an opinion, let alone oxygen, was excruciating.
For those of you who have no idea who Bill O Reilly is, he is a Fox News 'Personality'. For Fox news, it would appear that 'Personality' can be translated as: Bigoted, provincial, and narrowminded jack-ass with limited intelligence. Best known for rampant homophobia, and a political worldview that would make Himmler smile.
nope, don't like him much.
I kept waiting for one of the women on the show to just stand up and say 'good god man! your head is up your ass, and you need an enema', and then cut his mike and have him escorted from the premises.
alas, they simply smiled, nodded, and gave him a venue to spread his brand of right-wing neo-fascist propaganda.
been chatting a bit with lotus who seems awful cool. it's funny. i guess i saw her at the sglive show in calgary...but since she had 3 feet of blond dreads at the time, i didn't recognise her from her profile pix.
i wanted to give a bit of a shout-out to Calgary's VESPA SHOP, who were of tremendous assistance to me in finding out some more info on my new scooter, even though i didn't buy it from them, and it's not even a vespa...Quality dudes (and dudettes) there, and if you are in the scooter market, go check them out over by revoluzione cycles.
