-What I Am-

I am closed walls that crack,
to let the virus in...
Breaking down and crumbling,
only to build again
A constant repetition,
I struggle to control...
While deep inside this nightmare,
tears another hole...

I am a never ending torrent,
A running stream of hate.
Fueled by an ocean of pain,
that I cannot sedate
A constant flow of red,
I struggle to slow down...
But deep inside this nightmare,
Screams a fearful sound

I am chaos in the flesh,
I follow my own laws...
I never think of others,
As I advance my cause...
A constant random outbreak
of selfishness and greed
Force fed by deep dark nightmares
that claw and latch and feed

A rose of shimmering beauty
so bright it hurts the eyes
with thorns that rip and tear
not caring if they cry
My rage grows stronger still
as happiness fades away
for all the love I have
my emptiness wins the day

In the end I am a demon
with silk white angel wings
The product of the games YOU play
no longer can I sing
Instead I wither in despair
Consumed by all the rage
A hopeless romantic lost to time
doomed to live this age

I scream for love with all my heart
just hoping for a chance
to prove to someone im more than just
a product of circumstance
But everytime I find a flame
that seems to shine for me
I end up burning out the flame
till darkness is all i see

I am a lost hope in this world
A dream that withered away
and in the end all that remains
will slowly fade each day
To everyone that reads this through
and understands my shame
Believe me when I tell you
Im through with this childlike game
