Last night I saw beautiful
Never seen it before
Heard about it in a fairy tale once
Imagined what it must have looked like,
Which turned out to be pretty.
Cause last night I saw beautiful

And the heavens rejoiced
The stars twinkling in wonder
The wind blowing her name through the night
My mind caught in a web of venomous seduction
Of which she had no idea, or every idea of what she is doing
Last night I saw beautiful

And it whispered my name in the dark
Hinted at the hidden wonders it possessed
But laughed when I reached for her
An invisible wall around her indicating she was taken
By a hope, a dream, a wish
Just as I was taken by that same hope, or dream, or wish

Last night I saw beautiful
So I said to her with sadness in my eyes
I said "When all the guys have used you, and all the pieces played, I will be waiting"
And I watched as beautiful left
A distant dream within my mind
Of last night, when I saw beautiful
