So... the new Audioslave album, eh? My verdict: Chris Cornell = teh suck, Tom Morello = a guitar god.

So this unemployment thing is sucking. I'm not used to having this much free time and I have no idea wtf to do with it. I went out yesterday with the intention of applying for work various places and then finding something to do. Applying for work worked out alright, but when it came to finding something to do I ended up walking around, falling asleep on a park bench for a few hours and then walking home.

So the USCG thing fell through... probably for the best, actually. Looking to volunteer at one of the local fire departments, though. Actually considering a career in that (which I could actually start now), because I think it's something I'd be able to do without getting annoyed with it after a year or two. In the meantime I'm trying to get a job to get me through the training period (assuming I get hired at all). Going to apply to wait tables at IHOP today. Would be nice, since one thing I missed at the Surplus was the lack of tips.

It occurs to me that I might possibly be a work-a-holic. Or on my way to becoming one.
