My evening... let's see. Miss T picked me up for dinner, but C ended up making me eel on a bed of rice. Much more eel than sushi would have provided. A plate of nutty goodness, though I still missed actually sitting down to dinner with Miss T.

After a brief repose, we were all off (all being myself, Miss T, C, W, R & CC) to see a small-time local (Louisville, KY) band showcase of sorts. I forget the opening band's name, but the lead singer had a shirt with a COBRA logo on it. Too cool. Very Sonic Youth sounding, accored to R, who is a big fan.

The second band were my pals Birdwing, a fairly new band who have just become a trio. There are some things to work out, but there's talent. I'm particularly impressed with T, the drummer, though my religion states I cannot like a drummer.

The last band was just oh my god. Activated Peat. Probably the loudest band in the smallest venue I've ever seen, and I could not be bothered to even give half of a fuck, not even to charity. The floor in front of the stage was a puddle of beer and sweat. The members bled for our entertainment. Very punk rock.

"So, there's no one named Pete?" I asked.
The singer laughed. "No... we're Peat. The first step towards manure."
"That's some good shit," I chuckled.

He laid bare to us his rock 'n' roll dream, and I told him I'm an American Idol scout. Lies upon lies.

Go see Activated Peat. Their nipple rashes mean they love you.

Oh, then C and I went to a bar, hung out with most of Birdwing, I met part of Redtail Hawk, then I was driven home by C as we bonded over stories of people we, uhm... like. A whole, whole lot.

I may be starting to miss Amelie. And only a day and a half in. Eep.
