I have Amelie's cold. My body was nice to me and let me stay healthy until we left, but once I got home... Surprising it took so long.

I think my brain is starting to work again, finally. A couple more days and I'll probably break down crying. Is feeling bad better than feeling nothing? I can't believe I need her so badly.

But, you know, it's not mushy or anything. Going to a wedding Saturday didn't make me miss her any more, but hearing Blackbird on the radio on the way to the reception did. "Romantic" stuff still makes me ill. Her too. It's different than anything I've ever been in, anything I've seen, or anything I've been told I'm "supposed" to feel. It's the best thing ever. And I don't have to buy flowers or cards or jewlery to make it "real" or prove myself. And that's good, 'cause I'm poor.

Despite my poorness, I now have a Gamecube (which Amelie is terribly jealous of; I told you she was the best girl on the planet). Super Mario Sunshine is too much fun, even if I could stand a little bit more variety in the settings. I can't wait for Super Monkey Ball to get here. Maybe someday I'll tackle Metroid Prime. I'm scared of it, I think. I haven't done much in the way of first-person shooters, or Metroid games, for that matter. I think I'm gonna get Super Smash Bros. Melee next. I love having a new system. Sadly, the N64 didn't get me this worked up, except for maybe Ocarina of Time. My Cube 0wnz, though. Or something.

PS Super Monkey Ball just arrived at my door! Wheeeeee! But I have to go buy schoolbooks before I can play it! Boooooo!
