Halloween party was fun, full of people I didn't know but had evidently met at the big Fourth of July party held over the summer. There was so much food and alcohol and green smokies going around, though, I feel I'm lucky just remembering the Fourth of July party.

So, yes, Halloween fun in the country... drinking, smoking up, burning a picnic table, lobbing innuendos at each other, a few dead baby jokes, listening to Monty Python and the Holy Grail blare from the house. A relaxing time, to be sure.

And now I am home, listening to Warren Zevon's "Excitable Boy" and gabbing with Amelie and Morgan. What a pleasant Sunday afternoon.
