Had a fucking cool day on Sunday. First arrived at the newtown festival around 2-ish and it was so busy and hot that I was in a shitty mood, finally found a good spot out of the sun, got a bourbon and coke and felt a whole lot better. Didn't really pay much attention to the bands/stalls just sat and drank and people watched, ran into people I haven't seen since last years festival, pretty much do that every year. Went to the Townie for after drinks after finding, shock horror, that the beer tent was closed. My friend Rowena spilt a drink on herself then proceeded to change into a new dress she bought at the table, 'chinese style' laughed so hard I drooled on myself as she got stuck half way. Headed to the Landsdowne for a cheap eat. After this time most of my crew had piked and gone home. My boyfriend pulled together our pennies and headed to the Annandale to see SC Trash, cause the week before i was too pissed to pay attention to their set, I knew that they sounded good tho. In a great moment of kindness the doorman let us in for free as we counted our 5 cent coins to afford the cover charge. It was a fucking great gig, most people were still drunk from the festival, it was the biggest hillbilly hoedown ever. Spent the money we saved from entry charge on yet more drinks. And the best thing? Having all day Monday to recover. Yay. Best sunday ever.
