Josh came over last night, and I gave him his vday present. He almost shit his pants. I got him a Barry Sanders Throwback Jersey plus the whole card, candy, bear, bullshit. I was really worried about whether or not hed like it and pondered on whether or not I should spend so much money but he did and it made me so happy to see the look on his face when he figured out what it was... Theres nothing better than to give someone a gift and see the look of 'joy' on the persons face that u love. Its a really good feeling.
I woke up this morning and decided to be nice and send a happy vday text to all of my friends that I know. I got a few replies back which was really cool... One of my really close friends John, called me a lil confused about who it was that left him the message which was weird since he practically knows my number by heart Im sure. He was definately a lil out of it... so I asked him what was wrong and he informed me that his lil sister was murdered this week by his stepmom. Supposedly, his stepmom was going to kill herself and decided to take her 14 year old daughters life first. Beat her to death while she was sleeping with a hammer and then went to 'commit suicide'. Unfortunately she didn't succeed. The cops found her and she told them what had happened. The newspapers and reporters are driving his family insane and I can only hope that I will never have to go through anything like that. Its hard to tell someone that 'it will be ok' when in reality, a person that they love will never be coming back. I didn't really know what to say to John. All I could do is tell him that Im here if he needs anything and if he needs to vent, cry, or go crazy, he is more than welcome to call me. Its in all the New Jersey papers. It must make it a million times more difficult.. To not only have to deal with the pain of losing a family member..., but the newspapers, and tv shows, and reporters, prosicuters, etc. Him and his family are definately in my prayers.
