Ahh, I suck! I'm so sorry I've been absent for a while, I've been really slow at replying to messages and well overdue a blog post... It's just been hectic this weekend! Too much crappy food and too little sleep... Ahh.
Getting back to normal now though, and feeling much better. smile And I'll be going through my inbox very very soon!

WARNING: Very long blog post ahead...

I've done another SG painting, this time of Lietha; I couldn't resist trying the gorgeous lighting and colours in her set Never the Same. They turned out to be a huge challenge, but isn't that always the best way to go? :')


I'm gonna be taking a break from these oil paintings for a while just to focus on developing my painting skills, but there are some exciting things in the works at the moment (including SG related); and it also means I'll be much better when I come back to doing them again smile

It was my mum's 50th birthday last wednesday.

(This card also made an epic horror-movie screaming noise as you opened it. Sadly I didn't get to see her open it... but apparently, she jumped out of her skin and dropped the card. x] )
She didn't want a big deal making out of it... But this woman is amazing, and is the reason I turned out the way I have. She raised me on her own, as a single, unemployed parent and always put me first; she taught me to always make my own decisions and stand by them, and to have a backbone. She gives me all the freedom I need, but is always there to support me and I just had to try and make the day that little bit special... wink
I was working till midnight the night before, so I went straight to the supermarket from work and got her a bunch of flowers. Then I stayed up and baked her some cookies to go with her little gift bag... And left them as a surprise on the kitchen table for when she woke up.



Only, the cookies tasted so good, I had to go ahead and bake myself some the next day. biggrin




I think it's always important to keep your eyes open to life's little beauties, even in the busiest of lives and dreariest of places...






And of course, I've been up to my usual drunken antics... :')



(Would you guys class this as being mean? I thought I was just embarassing myself, but my friend seems to think otherwise...)
