I know everyone is always wondering what I would look like if I had some really gnarly chops. So, here is a pic where I have chops.
For the record, Chops, while quite humorous, are in fact extremely disgusting. I shaved them off right after this picture was taken.
Right, so I've had people in my life have extremely sad things happen to them, and I really don't know how to respond. One friend of mine has had her grandmother diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My grandfather died a little over a year ago from this, and it was absolutely terrible. I feel really bad for her, because with a disease like this, there is no light at the end of the tunnel. I told her to enjoy every moment she can with her right now, and after that, to stop seeing her. It's extremely painful when a family member can't recognize you anymore. It's a hard situation where there's not much to say.
Another friend recently had a friend commit suicide. I feel very strongly about suicide, so I really can't say much to her about it. I've known a few people who have died from this. And, honestly, I feel that it's a person's choice whether they live or die. That's part of the beauty in being human, and is something that I believe everyone must consider. Most people can see how beautiful (although, sometimes frightening) life can be. But not everyone can. I honestly have no idea what I should say about this, because I can't really be honest about how I feel about it. Being that I grew up in the generation where an icon committed suicide with a shotgun, I'm probably not the best spokesperson for this.
I just feel bad for both of them. There are few hopeless situations, and they found both of them. :-(
Sigh. My roommate is having sex again. I'm going to have to turn up the TV.
