My original life plan from a very long time ago was to, once I hit a certain age, quit my job, sell off most of my belongings, and move to a tiny island in the Caribbean, possibly even the one I lived on for a time as a child.
While my life didn't exactly go that route, I'm reconsidering it more and more these days.
Of course, my girlfriend wants to go to Mexico, Michoacan particularly. I know very little about the area, but much of what I've seen looks nice.
As a result, I've been scrolling through real estate pages, looking at houses ranging from this one to this one to this one (though ostensibly I'd prefer a house over a townhouse).
I don't know if I'd ever have the guts to do it, but it's nice to know that (at this moment anyways) I still could if I wanted to. If I do what I wanted so long ago, and sold off everything, I could have any one of those.
Of course, I don't speak a lick of Spanish... or French... or Dutch... so... 😅
