You know, it doesn't take much to not be an asshole. It can be as simple as minding what you say.
Of course, some may scream "I have a right to say whatever I want!", and this is true. Nobody should tell you what to say and what not to, but choosing your own words is your choice, and nobody else's. Spewing forth everything your brain comes up with is lazy, and giving power to the primitive part of your brain that is still designed to throw rocks at things you don't understand and shit behind trees.
I choose not to say every ugly thing that comes to mind, because I don't desire to be an asshole, and like to think of myself as an intelligent being actually capable of self-awareness and self control. I am a human (for whatever that's worth these days), not a shit-flinging monkey, and prefer to act like it.
