Things You're Thankful For Today

So I saw this topic as a thread in one of the groups ('The Daily Grind' I believe), and I thought it was a great question to ask yourself day to day. I've also talked about a very similar topic with somebody here as well, who is presently finding something new each day to focus on that helps bring happiness to her life.

So with the general idea heavy on my mind, I thought I'd also ask the question here as well...

What are you thankful for today?

This is roughly what I wrote in the thread for yesterday.

The original thread asked for three things, but answer as many or as little as you like :)

In order of occurrence for the day...

- Still being considered fun enough to hang out with that I'm still invited along to neat events by people. This January, I'll be going to the Strange Brewfest, and staying in a haunted house for the weekend :)

- Old friends reaching out to me. At a time when I've let most of my friendships fade away, and am desperately trying to hold onto what little I have left so I don't lose any more, it means the world to me to find I have old friends who still care, and are willing to reach out to reconnect with me. Now I just need to stop being such a flake, so nobody's efforts are in vain.

- Lastly, flirty online compliments from strangers. I know that in the grand scheme of things, they don't affect my real world, day-to-day life at all, but being told by somebody that they want to cover me in oil and do bad things with me sure has a way of making me smile and feel nice :)

@iso your neighbor is probably considered one of those legendary stops by all the neighborhood kids, like the ones we always heard about but never found ourselves when I was a kid. Knew one kid who ever found one in person, and of all places, it happened to be Sir Mix-a-Lot's house :)

Actually, practically no one comes down our street. Our kids wind up with all the leftovers.
