So I find having goals set in stone helps me actualize them. As such, I'm thinking of scheduling another trip for sometime next year. If I get planning and scheduling done soon, it'll give me something to work towards.
So far, I'm thinking either one of two trips...
1) A summer trip beginning in Istanbul, Turkey, followed by a train ride through Bulgaria, with stops along the Black Sea, to end with hiking in the Carpathian Mountains in Romania, as well as visits to Castle Bran and Hunyadi Castle, two of the castles associated with Vlad Dracula (though one only in legend).
2) A winter trip into Finland, starting in Helsinki, and ending up far to the north at Kakslauttanen, where snow and ice cover everything, the days can be spent ice fishing, skiing, and exploring the land via reindeer sled, horseback, snowmobile, or even land tank, while the nights are spent in glass topped cabins or igloos while the Northern Lights glow bright in the night sky.
Any thoughts?
