I so rarely seem to make time to post blogs anymore. I so rarely seem to make to time to simply interact with the various wonderful people on this site either.
That being said, here is a new blog!
A question to any of you with experience in this matter, I am interested in going to see a Psychiatrist, not because I feel I need to, but because I am interested in why my brain works the way it does, and I find myself so often at odds with everybody else.
The question (or "questions" rather), do any of you have experience with this? Is it worthwhile? I went to (or rather, was sent to) therapy to address my various social problems when I was a kid, but I was too young to properly understand why I was there. Now I am older, and could actually derive some benefit from it, provided there is any benefit to be derived in the first place.
As I said, I don't really feel I need it, I could get along fine the way I am now, and am in no danger of climbing a clock-tower or sporting a tinfoil hat, but I am curious.
If you have any feedback on the subject, let me know

You should go if you feel you'll benefit from it and will understand yourself better from it...I had a similar experience as a teenager but didn't realise until years later that it was a psychiatrist that came to the school to talk to me one afternoon, and no wonder he was asking me odd questions...he didn't say who he was and none of the staff did...the school must have thought as I was getting bullied a lot it was me who had the problem....maybe I could get something from seeing one now too but I'm not sure I'd be better off doing that...if you feel you don't really need it but are just interested maybe just a few sessions to satisfy your curiosity would be all you need....good luck xxx

I've never been to a psychiatrist but I've been to therapy and I didn't think it helped to be honest
