________________________________________________________________

Finding order in a seemingly chaotic world is an innate attribute of the human psyche. To see and envision the world in a way that allows interconnectedness among all things is draining, and it is because of this people refrain from it. People categorize everything in their lives. Dividing everything they know into separate psychological boxes. The world seems safer this way, more understandable. We are all victims of a three dimensional based society. The three dimensional world, is in essence the tangible world, devoid of emotion and the energy that constantly surrounds us. The three dimensional world is not what speaks to our higher selves; it merely creates a generic world devoid of its true wonder. Many great thinkers of our time released themselves of their three dimensional bonds, and lived in a higher forth dimensional one. Einstein would never have discovered the theory of relativity had he not broken free. The pinnacle of my work is to alter perception, and ultimately to carry what is seen in my work to the surrounding world. Trying to create forms that are comfortable but speak to the higher self is extremely challenging. I do not wish to turn people off with over intellectual work, but rather coax people to consider and think about the work. I have been trying to achieve this be creating familiar geometry within my work. I am very loyal to the geometric aesthetic as it is the bridge to overwhelming interconnectedness around us. We are born with a perception that is forth dimensional, but we are weaned into a cold three dimensional world. We are in fact forth dimensional creatures that have been consequently moving towards the way of the machine. We are all interconnected, all unique, and all a part of a system. Time is a concept I deal with because it does not really exist. It is a man-made concept that shapes a large part of the cold tree dimensional world. We are not only dependent on this concept, but are addicted to it. Faster is better, has become the overwhelming philosophy of our times, and because of this we are ripped from a higher plane of existence. Time is something that is familiar to most people, and is one of the easiest ways to demonstrate a three dimensional concept that we cling to so dearly. In my work I try to create the illusion of a progression and movement, but it is obvious that the forms are, in fact, stationary. I do this to demonstrate how people are dependent to this mode of thought to make sense of our world. I hope that my work is considered for more than what is readily apparent, and if for only a moment people may see a representation of my fourth dimensional world.
