Why do my girlfriends drag me to cheesy love storyesque movies that only make me cry on the way home?
I went and saw "The Notebook" tonight with my girlfriend. Man, it was cheesy to the max, but god, I want that kind of love in the worst way. I'll admit it, I'm freaking jealous. I want someone to not be able to take their hands off of me, throw me up to a wall and kiss me, and pull my hair. I want all that.
Today was disasterous. I spent the day with a family member who acted so spoiled, it just about drove me to insanity. I mean, do I look like I belong in a Tommy Hilfiger store? (for fear of your answers, nobody answer that one, mmkay?) I don't understand why everyone cares so much about having a stupid little label. Yeah, ok, I admit I watch Fashion TV, but the thing I love about fashion is the creative process, the art behind it, the movement, the fluidness of fabrics and texture. Not, "Oh this is cute and it's Tommy Hilifiger, so I should by it!"
I felt so frustrated today. A few of my female relatives are models. It's hard for me, I've always been the "smart girl" in the family. My relative spent a huge part of today insulting everything from my piercings, to my clothing, to my lipstick. She called me "too punk". I wanted to laugh in her face, but figured it'd be a waste of my energy, so I just let it roll off my back. And seriously, how do you expect me to enjoy lunch when you're constantly telling me I should eat less, because I need to lose 30 pounds easily? No. I mean..No.
I drove her all around the Lower Mainland today, and will be driving her downtown tommorow, and she didn't even say thank you once. Whatever, she wants to be rude that's her perogative, but I'm not going to let it get me down.
