So, it's been a while since I've even checked my journal comments. It's been hell week after hell week. Let's see, what has happened?
Well, I became the Technical Director at WIIT (88.9 FM Chicago). Getting that started took a week of constant work, Then came midtems, that was fun. There is this thing about taking four CS courses at once; they all have tests at the same time. I almost burnt out, but break took care of that. Nothing but a week hanging around at home, playing magic and going to random diners. Then I came back. It's been two weeks of straight work. Two projects, 8 major assignments, and a test I took today. I've had to hit the books hard to attempt and bring my grades back up. I have to have a 3.0 for my scholarship. I can't loss that, even though I don't know one person who's had thiers taken away, but it's always a chance.
Last night I saw "The Lizard Kings" at the BOG. Their a Doors cover band. It was awesome, I was raised on the Doors and there is something about their music that just makes me feel good.
So, that's what's been going on. Things should slow down now til finals. I do have another test on tuesday, but it shouldn't be that tough. I'm going to the gym in a bit, I've gotten pretty fond of playing basketball over there, but it's hard to get people that will come and play.
On the geeky side of life, I got an old cellphone from my grandmother, this thing is huge. Well, by today's standards it is. There is no service for it, but it does connect and I get the "This cell phone doesn't have a valid number" message. The reason I got this cellphone is because there is a data-port on it. AKA: I can connect my laptop to it (hopefully) and hack it. Maybe using some of my1337 skillz I should be able to use it to pick up other cell signals, and maybe even decode some digital ones.
I'm also trying to learn some PHP so I can make my crappy website dynamic. Hopefully I can have a journal on it and have it forward it to here. That would be super geeky, now wouldn't it?
Tommorow I'm going to go see the Cowboy Beebop movie at the Music Box, around 2, I forget if it's 2 or 2:30. I can't wait, but now I got to go to the gym and take care of some laundry.
