I was in a similar place a little while ago, I took the plunge and have acheived a lot since I can't promise that it'll be the same for you but I do know if you try to deny what you know is true, you'll never be happy. Its damn hard but you won't be all alone.

THE FAIRY OAK OF CORRIEWATER

this one is also quite long, from a old scottish fairy tale caled Elphin Irving.

Have a book on scottish fairy tales, doesn't seem to have, the fairy flag . Goes from Thomas the Rhymer to The Fairy boy of Leith to The haunted ships.
