i won't lie, this weekend has turned out to be pretty awesome.
thursday night i knew that sexxy party dave was coming into town and i thought that he'd come get me so we could make a joint appearance at kat's (Annikki) apartment, but she called me instead on her way home from work. we made this awesomely gross/delicious tuna/noodles/spinach concotion that mostly tasted of thai peanut sauce, and then we got everyone together and went to crush to go dance (but not before i got drunk at the apartment first and could barely stand. joy). a lot of the music was shitty but it got progressively better as the night went on.
friday consisted of sitting through a fight at the excellent new chinese buffet (with real dim sum, holy shit) (and holy shit sitting through that fight was awkward) and doing a whole lot of nothing, then trying to figure out what to do and ending up with late-night sushi. more drinking and watching "nosferatu" (now with soundtrack by type o negative! it wasn't too thrilling, i'll say that much) and up talking with sexxy party dave until about 4am.
saturday - fantastic take-out indian food, the first two x-men movies, and then PARTY. fantastic party. saw a lot of kids that i haven't seen in forever and a lot that i haven't seen since either i or they graduated from high school. lots of me and evan sitting on the patio smoking and singing elliott smith songs together. i eventually felt really nauseous from drinks that had coconut rum and/or too much 99 bananas in it - especially from the former, disgusting - and eventually passed out on kat's floor while about ten people were floating in and out of her bedroom.
today we got excellent thai food (mm, massman curry, my favorite) and saw both the new x-men and sneaked into "the da vinci code." the former was entertaining if fucking melodramatic. the latter was simply terrible, and i thought the book was shitty to begin with.
and now i'm here, but not for long - the lovely miss genevieve is off of work and wants food, and i do too.
i am feeling bad about leaving my dog alone again though.
