so my brother dragged me out to a georgia texas hold 'em game tonight... i've never really played poker. i'm more of a black jack kinda guy. so i really didn't know what i was doing too much... i mean i had a vague idea, cuz i watch the world poker shit sometimes, but whatever. so, my brother and his friends fill me in on what i really need to know... you know so i don't make a total ass of myself. anyways, beginners luck kicks in after a few hands and i get the hang of things a bit. there were 8 tables each with 8 players... so that's 64 players total... yeah, so i made it to the final table and took 8th... that's why i'm calling it beginners luck. i do think, however, that i will be going back and playing again. 
i think the reason i did ok was cuz it wasn't a cash game... so i wasn't really worried about losing... hell, if i lost i wasn't out anything, but if i got far enough along it meant points towards the month end tournie and a cash prize... obviously didn't make it to the cash, but i did get some points. not that i'll ever amass enough at this point to get to the end of month game, but hey, it was fun anyways.
i think we should do an SG poker night sometime... anybody be game for that?
