So it's been a great long weekend on my end of the world. My Friday essentially consisted of getting up, refusing to change out of my PJs, and seeing how much of a Borderlands body count I could rack up.
Saturday had me joined about 13 member of my family for our annual taffy party. We all get together, have a nice scavenger hunt, eat until our sides burst, and finish it off by boiling down some maple syrup until it's nice and thick before pouring it over snow to harden it a bit and eating it. Very Canadian thing to do. I got to catch up with all the people I haven't seen in a year including some of my favorite aunts on my uncle's farm and spend some time chasing chickens and getting all the barn cats to warm up to people. Such a wonderful, relaxing day.
I ended it all today by spending the day with my lady friend and her family, watching the hockey game (GO HABS!), and having the most fantastic Ham supper. Beer may or may not have been involved in spades. I also got the third post of my new blog up and running, which made me feel tres productive.
