Fuck me I am exhausted. At Uni I pulled some pretty short hours getting assignments done on time and as a junior solicitor I flogged myself pretty hard working long hours and weekends. But nothing compares to having to care for a 1 year old, a sick wife and a legal practice. I used to say my time was mortgaged but these days I'm into overdraft.
For 3 months now, I have been going on 2-4 hours sleep a day (except for a single night of 6 hours when Emily slept in to 6am). On Sunday night I was flogged from looking after Emily all weekend. She was tuckered out and I crashed at 11pm. About midnight she woke and I didn't get any more sleep for the rest of the night. I went to work the next morning groggy, nauseas, an aching back from sitting it a chair nursing the baby all night and a splitting headache over both eyes. I had to come home at 3pm because I was a wreck. Emily stayed the night at Grandpa & Grandma's. I slept until 6am this morning.
God give me strength.
