I don't like change. I have a hard enough time understanding how things work in the first place without people changing the site set up. I mean we're not all technoheads. I can't even work out how to reduce photos to fit on my profile so I am stuck with the same picture until I attend the next hook up so someone more ept than me can kindly send me a picture to put up.

Anyway, back from Canberra and I have no doubt missed many an SG and witty exchange on the boards.

Canberra was wierd. It was like the parents had gone for the weekend and the kids were left at home trying to find someway to entertain themselves. No pollies around because they were in their constituencies rounding up votes. The public servants were mostly away because there was nothing for them to do until a government was elected. It was warm and sunny. Really, really weird.

Back now so looking forward to the hook up on Friday.

QOTW - "Every subject's duty is the King's, but every subject's soul is his own."

And for good measure (for measure):

"Tis not the balm, the sceptre and the ball,
The sword, the mace, the crown Imperial,
The intertissued robe of gold and pearl,
The farced title running fore the King,
The throne he sits upon, nor the tide of pomp
That beats upon the high shore of this world -
No, not all these, thrice georgeous ceremony,
Not all these, laid in bed majestical
Can sleep so soundly as the wretched slave
Who, with body filled and vacant mind,
Gets him to rest crammed with distressful bread;
Never sees horrid night, the child of hell,
But, like a lackey, from the rise to the set,
Sweats in the eye of Phoebus, and all night
Sleeps in Elysium; next day, after dawn,
Doth rise and helps Hyperion to his horse;
And follows so the ever-running year
With profitable labour to his grave;
And but for ceremony, such a wretch,
Winding up days with toil, and nights of sleep,
Had the fore-hand and vantage of a king." Henry V Act IV Scene 1 (both from the eve of battle speech)

I am not too sure about this whole new setup at all. Prefered it when I didn't have to use my brain so much just to type my journal. I think ur idea is a goodin.

No worries mate, I have had to call it off due to the lack of numbers in the end. But we will catch up again soon I'm sure. The wife must come first always biggrin
