The pathology results were mixed as I guessed from the guarded tone of the surgeon on the night of the operation. They successfully removed the entire tumour and follow up scans showed no tumours elsewhere. But there were cancer cells in the lymph nodes which means there may be some rogue cells lying low on a microscopic level. So the doctor confirmed that she will need chemo but we are pretty upbeat now as the doctors believe the main threat is behind us. Many miles to go but all downhill from here.
On a brighter note, I am looking forward to the Bris SG drinks later this month. It won't be an all nighter as I have a christeningthe next morning but I will be nice to put names to aliases.
