It's been 4-EVER since I updated this thing. I found my wedding dress and it's perfect. I have a new scion XA and I luuuuuv it. I've recently discovered my love for Loretta Lynne and other old country which is weird cuz I can't stand modern country. Sometimes I really don't understand myself or why I am the way I am. NO one in my family ever listened to this stuff but I can't seem to get enough of hank williams sr. and leadbelly. ah well, as long as I'm happy and healthy. Pray for the attendees at my wedding who are gonna have to listen to my bizaro songlist biggrin

I'm the same way about Country Music, except I like the old Marty Robins. The true country/western music, not this new crap they call country music. Oh and congratz on the wedding.

+2 on the Country Music thing. I can't STAND any of the new stuff...but all the classics are amazing: Pasty Cline, Hank Williams SR, and the aforementioned Loretta Lynne. Personally, I think it might have something to do with the fact that so many of those old country artists started out poor, got into trouble (relationships, the law, alcohol/drugs) and then pulled themselves up (but not necessarily completely out) and never forgot their roots. Its like they actually LIVED life. Hell they might even have had a lot of the same "values" as say...a Toby Keith (love of Country, God, ETC)...I mean, especially if you listen to a lot of Hank Williams SR's later stuff (the gospel and the like)...but the treatment of those subjects are so much more real...
