THAT, my friends, is how long it took me to get my ASS back here!
So....when we last talked, I was moving to Crapids (aka Coon Rapids). AWESOME apartment. It's big, spacious, open and I decorated it very creatively, if I do say so myself. Fast forward 4 months to February. My boyfriend and I lost our jobs at the engineering firm, along with 6 other people. Valentine's Day was a complete bust - sucked big time. That night I spent the night at his place, as I often did, but this time I never left. I gradually started bringing more and more stuff from my apartment to his house, never really officially moving in. Post-layoffs, it took him 1 month to get a new job, and it took me 2. He works at a different engineering firm in the East suburbs, I work in a more architectural-focused firm in downtown Minneapolis. It sucks to work without him, but it's been a couple months and i"m getting used to it.
Last month, we decided to move in together. I still have a couple months in my lease, but I've already moved 70% of my stuff to his house. And I have a friend who needed a place to stay for a while, so she moved into my apartment, pays me a couple hundred a month to stay and will be there til the lease is over. So that worked out nicely.
That's where I'm at! Oh, and my boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year, and my little man's birthday party is Sunday, his third birthday is Tuesday.
I decided to come back to SG, even if just temporarily, just to say hi. To see what's going on here, and because the SG Gods gave me a great deal to reactivate the account. And since we have internet at the house and since I'm not scraping for money anymore, I thought it was a good time to come back.
And lo and behold, my good, best, dear friend LyloniJade saw that I had reactivated and commented as well as called my cell to confirm, before I even LOGGED IN! What a gal. She's even hauling her ass up here for my son's birthday party - now THAT is awesome.
Anyway....good to be back. I must go explore now.
EDIT: Ok, I explored. And hardly anyone that was here 9 months ago is STIILL AROUND!?!?!?!?! WHERE DID ALL MY PEOPLE GO???? I'm sad.
EDIT: Why can't I get 8 people into my top friends? It'll only let me do 4.
