A Day At The Races!
the horse races rocked. i managed to win $90 thanks to Excess Yes! the magical money horse.
unfortunately i managed to gamble $150 making me a $60 dollar loser. money not withstanding a fine time was had by all as we managed to sneak a picnic basket into the track. fried chicken and cole slaw was devoured with aplomb, chased down by vodka tonics and beer for those who indulge in such reverie. the weather was beautiful, sunshine with a mild breeze, the horses more so. spirits were high and enthusiasm higher. not a one of us made a profit nor a one of us saddened by said fiscal malfeasance. short of love in the air and a fortune in our pockets i would call it a perfect day.
