today i feel like an uber geek. my desktop died this summer and i've been using my laptop for things it couldn't possibly do. being as i just became employed again i decided to treat myself to a new machine. this time i didn't want to waste my money on an off the shelf model so i spent the day researching motherboards and memory and hard drives and video cards till my eyes bled... then i researched some more. through my exhaustive research i was able to achieve for a mere $937 the following items ( to be assembled at a later date). warning tech weenie about to ensue...
