My mom hit a cow tonight. A fucking cow! And because of her, a 17-year-old kid went off the road and crashed into a tree. He didn't seem to be hurt too badly, but he was still taken to the hospital. And thankfully, my mom wasn't injured. Having a shitty old car is actually what saved her. If it had been one of those newer plexiglass cars, she might've died. Of course, maybe the airbags would have actually worked, though. Whatever, life's funny. Like Woody Allen said, it imitates bad television. And I think tonight is a good example. In fact, my life is full of perfect examples. I'm going to turn my life into a television series one day. People will love it. Anyway, my mom talked to Christine tonight. That's the girl she works with and wants to set me up with. She agreed to meet me, but my mom made it feel so much like junior high school. Instead of casually suggesting that her and I hang out sometime because she thinks we might have some things in common, she said "Hey, do you have a boyfriend? I want to introduce you to my sonuh, not as a boyfriend or anything...j-just as a friend or something. You can give me your number or whatever when I see you at work." When I eventually meet this girl, maybe I should be rude to her and give her noogies, since that seems to be the maturity level the situation is operating at right now.
