so, to continue on with the nostalgia story...

after a fairly snippity reply to my nice e-mail i've decided that it's best to not dig up the past too much. i've tried before (with the same friend) and it's never worked. i feel like i must have done something to make him mad at me along the way. oh well, we're both so far removed from the circumstances that allowed us to be friends that i'm not sure we would ever have anything to talk about anymore. i think that my nostalgia is partially due to the fact that i feel badly about the way our friendship ended, and i have always felt it was left unresolved. so maybe all of this is not an honest effort on my part to play nice, but really me trying to ease a guilty conscience.
