i'm on a quest for the perfect "hangout".
it will be somewhere t and i can go and sit and talk for hours. the only real requirements are, we have to like it, it can't be too loud or too quiet, and you must be able to smoke.
ideally this place would be a diner type place, like monk's on seinfeld. a second best, would be a coffee house.
we went to a new coffee place tonight that is so close to hitting the mark. but of course it's not quite perfect. the coffee wasn't the best but the atmosphere of the place was perfect. the problems... the smoking section was so smokey it made our eyes water and i now smell like the marlboro man. (and i have a fairly high tolerance for smoke, considering i'm a non-smoker) the other problems were only minor and not really worth mentioning. i think the search is still on. but isn't the search half the fun?
