girlfriend left today. to parris island. for boot camp. won't get to see her until around january 13th. not happy now. funny how the violence that is your work, makes you not want the people you care for to be any sort of part of it. but she wanted it, and i told her i could ask her not to be a marine and tell her i would stand by whatever choice she made. i am proud of her. i hope she doesn't show up too many people there. i hope she doesn't get hurt. i didn't want her to leave. probably started missing her before she was even at the hotel and airport. fuck.
