sooooo on a surprise play by me, i decided to try and improve my mood by getting prettied up, buying flowers down on the other corner and take my matt out to a movie, The Producers. Being a complete sponge for musicals I couldln't help but go in expecting to lap it up. But this one was the sponge, and sucked. Visually it was awesome, because a) i love the era b) i love the 'theatre' and 'sound stage' look in movies(i.e. Singing in the Rain, Cabin Boy, Mary Poppins [yes random examples, i know]). So overall it was ok, although I found some really ridiculous errors in the script, and the musical interludes ran long and I had to sit too close to the screen which gave me a migrane and the comic timing wasn't too great (and you would think it would have been since Nathan Lang and Mathew Brodrick have been playing these characters on and off since 2001).
Oh and there is a new movie out that is ridiculous about a man who is going to 'find out what makes muslims laugh' and they send him to India to discover what humors these mysterious people. Ok WTF! how can you miss a huge huge huge error in that ? So now I guess if you are from the east and are brown than you are muslim? So I think I will probably be skipping this one.
And there is a new one that I didnt catch the name of, but it looks a lot like Lemity snickets, only it looks like it might not suck. I will have to research this one.
And the concessions are outrageous now. $13.75 for a large popcorn and two large sodas (which are fucking HUGE WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH OUR SOCIETIeS PORTIONS?!?!?!!?), and $3.75 for a hot dog that would cost $0.75 anywhere else. its obscene

but not when it comes to money
