Ugh..muscles are hurting from the gym, but it feels good. I hate that I have to stress and beg and plead for every little thing we need in this place (work). Fuck I mean we're 4 people in our department and we have one phone. Since we mooved we have one phone anyways, and I have asked 3 times now both the boss and the...

Do I hear a faint female-ish synthetic voice in the background repeating rythmically "Eject....Eject....Eject...."?

Guy's a typical clueless idiot. Perhaps reminding him of how much he pays for the salary of your group vs. lost productivity from not having phone vs. cost of a phone would do? Although I find that clueless idiots do not understand reasonnable mathematical arguments, even if they add up to hundreds or even thousands of dollars a week.

Work your connections and drop the hint to those you trust best that you might be on the market for change... That's what I do.

Slap him. Slap her. Slap your phone when you get it. smile

Good monday morning all. I went to the gym today, yaaaaay! Feel soo much better to be back on track! Hope you all are having a simply smashing day, it's cold but sunny here. Work is making me stress with all the bloody meetings today. Already had one meeting this morning with my team, and now another with my team and the prez after lunch...

"For some reason I'm beggining to feel that my boss doesn't value my opinion as much as if I were a guy."

...and how cold that possibly be??!!?? ;-)

Take the glass ceiling and smash it over his head...

You've inspired me to run tomorrow...
superflea:
You're my inspiration - I was going to try do the gym in the mornings... fire up the Game Boy and hit the bike for a half hour before hitting the office... but this morning I realized I left my workout duds at the office on Friday... and I can't go tomorrow morning because there's stuff to do and on and on and on and ARGH!!!

But I think I might be able to do it Wednesday.

We've even discussed switching the schedule around from Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, because our Thursday night shenanigans usually leave us without the energy to do any serious working out on Friday afternoon. So we're compensating! Yay us! I've even managed to drag one of our programmers along with us. If he joins for a year, I get a free month added onto my membership. Considering I misheard the deal when one of the other guys brought me in, you can imagine why I'm considerably happier with this than the "free mug that I originally thought was the incentive.

I did a bit of research today. I'm actually starting to think about calories and such. Did you know how many are in a can of Coke? Because it's a freaking lot! (And I know from all the spiffy readouts on the cardio equipment that it takes about fifteen minutes on the stairclimber to burn one off.) This is heartbreaking, I tells ya. I think I need vanilla coke to live, and now I've got to try my very best to phase it out almost entirely? There is no justice.

But I shall prevail!!! And I'm rooting for you, too. Go Cathedra!!!

It's cold and grey here. My inside joke is that the sun only comes out when we're interviewing. Aside from that, it's grey all the time.

Bleh.

So I'm glad you're getting sunned on.

Cheers!

I did the dishes yay! I also spent the day with Paradogmatic as he got new glasses. (plastic instead of metal frames *yaaaay*) And...yea I have to say it, he gave himself a self induced mohawk haircut right before I arrived, so I spent the whole time making fun of his funky 'do. If you guys are lucky he might take pictures for you.

Aside...

Happy Thursday. I must tell you all, Im on this quasi-Atkins diet, and yes I have lost weight since monday, but omg I am getting soooo sick of eating bacon! oink The only way I can eat it is if its highly drained from the grease. I mean practically 25 years of drumming into my head that fat and grease are like poison, and now i'm...

Well it's an ordinary tuesday. To my American friends to the south, I should tell you I watch American news faithfully every morning and have been following the candidates, and oooooh that John Kerry scares the bejesus outta me! eeek He seems like he would be the perfect selection to play an old evil man in a Sleepy Hollow sequel. I dunno..just my 2cents.

But on...

Happy Monday. I didn't mention that I drove all the way to Quebec city and back, and that yesterday it took me 5 hours to drive back (usually it's a 3 hour drive) because of the insane snow storm.

I was kinda tense driving all the way home so i'm still tired from it. Didn't go to the gym today, as I was supposed to...
