I was crossing the street this morning right in front of a cop car that pulled someone over for speeding. Realising this only once I was standing on the line in the middle of a 4 lane street, I started freaking out that they would run after me and give me a ticket for jay-walking. I don't even know if they do that in Laval but in any case. I tried not to move too much to attract the cop's attention but the damn cars wouldn't stop coming past me as the light had just turned green. Suddenly a car halts and a woman waves her hand frantically to let me run across the street. I look at the driver to nod a polite "thanks for stopping the traffic for me" and my god the woman looked like Anna Wintour!! Now the possiblities of this are 1 in 500 000 that this was in fact Anna Wintour, but it's fun to imagine for some unknown reason she would be of all placed in Laval and stopping traffic to let me pass.

I think us grown-ups don't play with our imagination far enough. It's so much fun to pretend silly things like that. I even had a giggle in the elevator as soon as the door closed and I was safe from that cop and his pad of tickets.

It's sunny and lovely here today, it almost looks like spring! I'm listening to more Doris Day this morning, must mean I'm in a good mood. Lovely, lovely, lovely.
