June 1982- Peter (A painter decorator) blows his load in Maureen (A factory worker) ...
7.40am March 17th 1983- 2 days before expected, a boy is delivered aided by forceps, weighing in at 7, 10. Peter downright refuses to name him Patrick. Mark is agreed upon. Maureen puts 'Mark Patrick' down at the registry office. Go mum!
11 years later- During my parents (occaisionally violent) break up, my dad is doing an aufwiedersehen pet in Germany, occaisionally sending letters back.
My mum, sister (Linz), brother (Leigh) and I go for a curry for my birthday.
My mum ushers us to a table, but someones already sat there. He lowers his newspaper. And it's dad.
The fact I've since found out he'd spent the day with 'THE BITCH WHO TOOK MY DAD FROM MY MUM' does not diminish this being amongst my best memories.
11 years since- Mark is sat at his PC updating his journal.
It's just over a year since my first SG meet. a year since the start of my longest relationship (which ended in January).
Over the past year I started recieving treatment for depression that I've had since 15. It's been hard going, but I'm through the worst. Another few family members and acquiantances have died, but new friends and old memories suffice... I met Yasser Arafat and Mordechai Vanunu in the past year, which is exciting i guess.
well, now, i really must carpe diem before tempus fugit.
