Woo! Rock'n'Roll Wednesday!!
I love it when fun stuff happens unexpectedly.
Wednesday afternoon I went to visit my good buddy Snake to see if he wanted to go see Tracii Guns at club nearby. You know, L.A. Guns may be old news, but it's still good ol' down'n'dirty rock. I love it. So does he. So we ended up at Brick by Brick for some rock n roll. We've both been in a bit of a creative funk lately, so it was super fun, we had some life breathed back into us. He saw old friends and made new ones, I got the nerve to stare down and talk to an enourmously hot guy with tattooed sleeves and a dickie work shirt (best combo EVER, btw), and we even ran into the rad girl who used to tend bar at the now-and-sadly-demolished Sunset Bowl. Best bowling alley ever. AND I saw another friend there from long ago. His name is Jeremy. He was an intern at Americoma Records way back in '01 when me and my best friend were doing the same. He was just in high school then, and you know what he was doing when I saw him? Playing bass in the goddamned band!!! I am SOOOO happy for that kid. Every Crue or Brides of Destruction thing I've been to, he's been there too. He has worked so hard to get these opportunities it's awesome. GO JEREMY!!
I am SOOOOOOOOOOO happy for him.
More updates later the baby's trying to tear my pants.
This week has been a little difficult, what with the weather vs. the sikkies in the house vs. my intolerance for sikkies. But guess what. It's nearly over. What should I do tonight?
