So far this weekend I have consumed, I guarantee, at least 1.5 lbs. of sugar.
It all started when I was accosted by a troupe of cheerful little savages outside Ralph's who had obviously been sampling a little too much of their own product. Damn Girl Scouts.
This weekend I saw Bad News Bears with Billy Bob Thorton, who is a pimp. It was totally predictable but I laughed my ass off just the same. I also saw True Romance.
WHY had I NEVER heard of this movie until now??? I have to buy it. And I've spent this morning watching awesome 80's classics like Back to the Future and GhostBusters.
AND I went to my first aquarium training session yesterday, which was so awesome. I'm really excited because I already know what I'm doing. I know the information and I know how to make it accessable and interesting to Joe everyone who has no idea what the hell a nudibranch is or how to pronounce it. And I enjoy it very very much.
So I feel like I don't have to have those "new job" jitters; I can totally hit the ground running.
Yay! Yay! Yay!
Oh, for the record:

Those are nudibranchs. Say nood-i-branks. They are a kind of sea slug. They don't bite or stink or can hurt you in any way. Most are about an inch or two long but Spanish Dancers can get up to 19 inches long. They eat stuff like sponges and sea fans and anemones.
there ya go.
