I am beginning to feel like i have good karma at the moment. I don't know why. Good things seem to be happening to me unexpectedly. Which is nice.
Anyway, my weekend was pretty quiet, and i spent most of today asleep instead of doing the stuff i was supposed to be doing, but i did see three films yesterday.
films:
Star Wars: (i feel it's important that i qualify my rating by saying that although i have watched the other SW films, i can't remember much about them etc and am not hugely into star wars. ok. so...) 8/10 this is a good film. it explains a lot, it's pretty to watch, there's lots of fighting and dramatic music. it's slightly strange that none of the other jedi realised they were about to die, and yodas fight scene wasn't as good as promised for me, but a good film all the same.
A good woman: 6/10 before i went to see it i didn't know anything about it except it was a period drama/rom com film. half way through i got really bored of hearing lines that i knew (because i'd heard so many quotes from oscar wilde before). This kinda spoiled it for me. also, really, not much happened plotwise. there could have been another couple of twists. But then, it was a short film.
Monster in law: J-lo really needs to stop choosing films where she's the underdog/poor victim. Apart from that, a pleasing comedy. I laughed. 7/10.
