Ok so I said I was going to retire for a while, but fuck it I have something to say for once.
You know what is really pissing me off these days? Democrats and fucking republicans. Why is it they're the only 2 parties that only seem to get mainstream recognition (uness on tax day you see libertarians protesting outside of post offices and every year the media records it)? Third parties aren't allowed in presidential debates, The Green Party was denied federal funding. How can we possbily live in a democracy when our democracy is limited by 2 parties that basically have the same ideals except with abortion, and a split decision on gay marriage. People will say "but the democrats are a lot more liberal than the republicans". Yeah no shit, but the democrats have lost their balls and the republicans fucked theirselves in the 80's with that fetus in jar crap, getting them nothing but a massive overload of fundamentalist christians to support them and make them appear to be nothing but psychos. And well, I can't argue, it definately worked.
I was thinking today why not formulate a system where our representatives truley represent us, instead of theirselves and what they think is "right and moral". We live in a technological age where being able to voice our opinion would be a lot easier than it would in 1812. Everytime a controversial or split issue comes up, why not turn around and get the people to vote on it, and then have our representatives vote for the majority of votes, if it's split again, keep on going delivering more facts, (not biased opinion) until an issue is voted on. Hell why not do that for everything that seems like the only true way that we can get our representatives to vote for us. If they refuse, Impeach them. This shit is getting ridiculous and people keep supporting it, which to me is a load of crap. Allow 3rd parties into debates, keep it civil, and keep it going. Even if it takes longer it would indeed be worth it, and we would get a definate perspective of who would be a good president instead of a "potential liberal who isn't really that liberal" or a "potential conservative who is just really a traditionalist who is against progression"
I don't really like either party, but I think I hate the GOP more than ANYTHING. Anything that keeps a nation that was built upon progressive principles from progressing is a bunch of bullshit. Telling someone what they can do with their body is bullshit, rather it be shooting up heroin or having an abortion.
My stance on abortion is "ok it CAN be fucked up but the government shouldn't be able to tell us we can or can't do it" I wish someone would just come out and say that.
on a non political note, I want to get drunk I just got paid yesterday, and it's time to take a load off, we have a liquor mini mall here in lubbock, it's true people believe it or not they don't sell liquor in this county, just this mini mall 15 miles of town that is like a wal mart full of booze.
I have been painting my warehouse at work for the last week or so three more days of that shit and it's over. Praise be to fuckin allah. It's driving me crazy.
Anyways I'm gonna go out and do something or try to, I hope everyone has a good weekend and has lots of fun.
