today i ventured out in the california rain to buy the makings for fresh pasta. of course that meant i had to go pick up a pasta machine which i have never owned, and actually kind of excited in a super geeky way to play with.
it's downstairs now.
i'm currently cooking in the oven, baking my marinara sauce. it's this killer recipe from alton brown it's like roma tomatoes, garlic, onions, herbs and spices, and then you bake it for like 2 hours, then you run it thru a food mill.
so now i gotta run to the kitchen gadget store for a food mill it's okay i don't mind, it's never a bad thing to have.
so
then i will make the fresh pasta, run it through the machine, cook it up and hopefully take it to my parents. my mom has been sick the past few days, so i thought it would be nice to surprise them with some yummy food.
oh and i'm going to take some pizza dough, and make it delish by adding some herbs to it and bake it so it's like an herbed focaccia bread
yeah boyee.

so i gotta actually call them and tell them it should be ready in a few hours. and i need to get back out and brave the storm.

hope everyone's having a great weekend i can't believe it's already sunday. i'm so sad to be going back to work tomorrow, i know everyone will be back tomorrow from the holidays and it's going to be manic :/ anyhow.
