Whenever I have holiday booked, and the time draws near, I always think of a line of dialogue from the very unsettling cartoon of Poe's ' The Tell-Tale Heart' ( available on youtube, and a masterpiece), spoken with sinister relish by James Mason: "Time slowed. Stopped. Ebbed out". The drag of wanting to get away - then when you are away... It's over, and you're getting ready to get back home. šā š
