I'm really not good at the whole keeping up with a diary/journal/blog thing, as you can see....
Well. I woke up at 5am today, despite having cooked from 2pm until 11pm and not having gone to bed until midnight. That sucked. Why 9 hours of cooking? Because my mom thought it'd be a good idea to have me cater a pre-wedding party (the actual wedding will be in Japan, so this is a small party for the US friends) BY MYSELF. It's only for 50 people, but if this were a professional job, you'd have 2-5 people doing the cooking, not just me. And you'd have more than one oven with two racks on it. Dear god, that sucked. And I'm only getting $100 for the labor portion, so I'm basically getting $7/hr instead of the $15-20/hr most caterers get... FUN. Not.
Oh, and my delete and enter keys are broken, which is making life very difficult for me. Especially since I have a 4+ page essay due Friday... Hmm...
Whinging aside, everything is fiiine. It's now 6:40 am, my computer battery is about to die (I left the charger at the house -- smart, huh?), and pretty soon I'll need to shower, finish cooking, and go serve food for 5-6 hours. Mmm. Fun. Here's hoping I'm alive enough tonight to chill with everyone in SG chat.
