Saturday.. Ah, how you betrayed me!
So, the post came today and included an oh-so-lovely letter explaining to my mother that I've got a D in my history class. I've never been a history whiz, so this isn't that surprising to me; I usually get a C or C- in history classes. However, this year, we got to be the guinea pigs for a first-year teacher, who it turns out is going to be fired anyway due to the education funding cuts in California. Anyway, this new teacher sorta sucks at teaching seniors (who, of course, have already checked out of high school). Half the class has either Ds or Fs right now. Good job, teach'. Anyway, mom flipped a shit and now she's threatening to not let me go to Australia. Thing is, /I/ paid for the first ticket, she's just the one who booked it. Also, the ticket isn't refundable, I have enough money to just buy another ticket, and she knows I would if she took the other one away. SO... that's not really a very valid threat.
Plus, I just finished packing my backpacking bag today...
THAT ASIDE.. my back has decided it hates me and has been causing extreme pain for me all day. I guess I threw it out while I was cleaning house yesterday.
Oh, and I just finished watching "The Notebook" with my mother. She'd never seen it before. o.O Go figure. It's a sappy movie, but it's fun to watch now and again.
Not a terribly interesting Saturday. Too bad, given that it might be my last one in the states.
