Got my brakes done. The mechanic got into my car, stepped on the brake pedal and immediately hopped out. "A front brake job ain't going to fix that. You got a hydraulic problem." Yes. He was missing teeth.

I knew I had bad brakes; I had no clue how bad though.

My front rotors and rear cylinders were toast. He showed me them too so I know he wasn't just gouging me. Yup. They were fucked. So $475 later I now have really good brakes. Add $100 for the front tires I put on a few days ago and I just dropped at least a third of the worth of my car...into my car. Hmmmm...

Didn't get the samsung t809. I was talked into the Motorola SLVR. I guess it's a cingular phone, but since it's "unlocked" I can use it for t-mobile.



I'm happy with it. Now that I have it, I have to say I didn't realize how popular the phone is. I've been hearing nothing but "I want one of those" and "I know someone who wants one of those." I was told that SLVRs are "girly" too. Hah.

Now with those two expenses in one day I'm damn near broke again. Time to start looking through the couch for loose change...

Roommate quote of the week: Imagine a guy sitting down in front of a computer. He has two browser windows open. One is on myspace. The other is porn. He has a row of empty budweiser cans next to him. Something is said to him which prompts this reply:
