I'm done. I've played the sober guy in a room full of drunk people for long enough this weekend. No more being DD. No more getting into arguments because a drunken friend no longer has the faculties to reasonably let go of a non-issue. I mean, I had fun this weekend. Don't get me wrong. It's just that after a certain point, I'm over it. I want to retreat, enjoy sanity and try to get something productive done. It's hard to do that when the party just keeps dragging on and on and on. It's like a cloud of drunken impotence is hanging over the day; and I'm not even the one who's drinking!!!. My plans that once seemed so simple are now stymied by hops and barley fueled impediments and rum scented hazards.
