I watched 'the butterfly effect' last night with my pal Rufus. I thought it was surprisingly brilliant. With all the Ashton buzz lately I was expecting it to taste more like bubblegum.

so... i saw your post on Suicide Guitars about being influenced by Daniel Ash - and just dropped in to say, well - thats cool... i actually got to meet the L&R crew briefly one night in SF - it was probably close to 10 years ago - they were at an Autechre show interestingly enough - probably only like 50 people there total) - I introduced myself by saying "hi, i'm johnny, your daniel ash aren't you?"... he responsed by saying "yes indeed, and this is my friend David J" - we talked about stupid shit for a bit, and then they were like - watch this - the went and sat down at a table full of asian girls (most likely tourists) and were like - "hey, we're famous rock stars - can we buy you some drinks" - knowing full well, it would confuse the hell out of them - the girls just giggled and were like, yeah right... it was kinda funny...they were almost making fun of themselves - in a light hearted way... anyway, thats my Daniel Ash story...
